Prepare to add some bright new books to your classroom shelves, because The Times and The Sunday Times are about to launch the Books for Schools promotion.
Starting in January and running throughout 2009, we will be giving away hundreds of thousands of books to help you to encourage children to read for enjoyment, to broaden their knowledge and to develop their imaginations. During the promotion, we’ll help you to enlarge your school library, ensuring that your pupils have a wider range of titles to choose from - including some great modern classics.
Simply collect tokens from the newspaper and exchange them for books of your choice from a list of 170 titles selected by Times Newspapers and Scholastic Book Clubs. Anyone can collect tokens on the school’s behalf and there is no limit to the number of books you can order. With some titles on offer for only ten tokens and at least one token in the paper every day, it won’t take long to boost your library’s resources.
